The Beginning - WIL1

I’ve debated starting a blog for quite some time now. I’ve gotta be honest though.

-I suck at journaling-

Maybe you’re the same way. You’ve heard people tell you that journaling can make a huge difference. You’ve tried it for a week and noticed no change whatsoever. So, what’s the big deal? Why would I decide to start an online open journal for the public to read?

I want two things.

1. ) Accountable

2.) Growth

Each week, this blog will share what I’m currently learning in life. It will be an open letter that keeps me accountable for my personal goals. This could range anywhere from working out to reading books. If you follow me at all, you know that I create music, but that’s only one part of my life. I have many aspects of my personality that I’d like to explore and enhance.

What I’m Learning This Week

This blog post isn’t just about blogging though. This post is to share what I’m working on this week. Gratitude.

I can be pretty pessimistic at times I think we all can be. So, I’ve started the practice of gratitude walks. Every single day I will be taking a ten-minute walk and thanking God for all of the good in my life. This idea comes from Jon Gordon who started the same practice in his early thirties. This single practice turned his life around.

What am I grateful for? What are you grateful for?

Focusing on the good in life can lift a load off of your shoulders and make your steps lighter. The endless list of things we don’t have can weigh us down. If we stop and focus on those things we do have, we can begin to be free. Free from stressing about money, our bodies, our looks, and how people perceive us.

I don’t know about you, but I want to be free. Let’s do it this week.

Thank you God for my son and wife, for my followers (you reading this), and for the ability to walk and run and use both of my arms.

Let’s be grateful this week, let’s be free!

Thanks for reading and as always, take it easy.
